XBench Preacher Arm Curl Bench

I've had the bench for just over a week now and I'm really happy with it.

Not cheap but can attest that this really is ' commercial quality. Bought to replace a cheaper bench bought when lockdown started that I didn't feel was safe curling around 50 kg. Unit started to become unsteady and was hard to balance and load with plates. No such problems with this bench.

This model is very solid and I think that it can safely take the stated weight. Been curling confidently on this with 50kg and the unit doesn't shake. I'm around 16 stone, 5 11' and feel that it is comfortable. The previous cheaper bench felt cramped and the curl pad was flimsy with just a wooden backing.

The 'tripod' design and the look of the unit, won't be to everyone's taste but I think that it looks a lot better than the website photo when assembled.

Can't really make it out from the website photo but the pad is huge and is supported by a heavy steel plate at the back. Despite this, pad is one of the comfiest and effective I've ever used ( been lifting in gyms for around two decades now).

It is a relatively heavy unit at around 47 kg so if you're short of space it won't be the easiest to move around. But to be honest, the design with the single leg at the back means that it doesn't take up that much room even in a single garage like mine.

Bench has pre- punched holes in the feet if you want to bolt it to the floor. I'm not going to bother as it has been really steady and had no problems with balance and stability.

Delivery was quick within 2 days and it was easy to assemble with Allen keys provided. Took me around 40 minutes.

Like I say above, not a ( relatively) cheap option compared to some other benches and some might not like it's 'quirky' look. But I previously bought cheap so had to buy twice!

Would recommend bench and company.
